History of ITW & United Way Partnership

  • For over 60 years, ITW has partnered with United Way to make a meaningful difference in our communities. United Way’s three focus areas are education, income and health; we believe in and support all three areas as a way to transform our communities. With Our Help United Way is Making a Difference

United Way has bold goals for the US:

  • Cut the number of students who drop out of high school in half
    – 560,000 more youth per year will graduate from high school
  • Cut financial instability by half
    – 1.9 million more lower-income working families will be financially stable
  • Increase the number of youth and adults who are healthy and avoid risky behaviors by a third
    – 1.9 million more youth and 29.2 million more adults will be healthy and avoiding risky behavior

History of ITW & JA Partnership

ITW has supported Junior Achievement for more than 50 years and the partnership is still going strong. JA’s volunteer-delivered, kindergarten-12th grade programs foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire students to dream big and reach their potential.

Every $15 that ITW has donated brings JA to a single student and benefits Junior Achievement of Chicago and its mission, to empower our youth to own their economic success.
